If we can determine the right vantage point, we will find a pattern in every "randomness."

We are deeply invested in finding newer therapies and diagnostic modalities for prostate cancer. Our overarching goals are
-Quality life for prostate cancer survivors
-Reduce prostate cancer-related deaths

I find peace in the valleys and summits of the Himalayan mountains.

I am fascinated with the Electric Vehicle(EV) revolution. I feel encouraged and excited to see how a start-up with a so-called "outlandish" idea broke the legacy motors' myth once and for all.

Books on my desk:
  • Never Too Late: Inspiration, Motivation, and Sage Advice from 7 Later-in-Life Athletes by Kate Champion
  • Sapien Ethics: Who We Are, Why We Are Here, and How We Can Live Better by Mark F. Godwin
  • The RE Generation by Jack Uldrich and Camille Kolles

I wish to meet Galilio Galilei, Aryabhatta, and Srinivasa Ramanujan over tea and enrich myself by listening to their real-life challenges and experiences. The next tea chat would be with George Kenneth Mallory, Andrew Irvine, Tenzing Norgay, and Edmund Hillary- This would be a really long tea as I have so many questions for them.

"We live in an era of 'Gold Rush' in biological and medical research with the most advanced explorative tools like CRISPR"

I am a genetic engineer. I am fully immersed in bench research, with a vision to translate it to the healthcare industry in the future.

  • Besides my scientific endeavors, I read about disruptive and futuristic biotech and healthcare-related product development and entrepreneurial activities worldwide. I can talk about the effects of geopolitics and financial factors over trade markets, football (soccer) and FCBarcelona, hiking in Europe, world cuisine, and your topic of interest over a pitcher of beer.
  • Among a library of books, I would recommend reading 'Why Don't We Learn from History?', 'Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind' and 'Rich Dad Poor Dad'.
  • I would invite Mr. Lee Kuan Yew to be reborn in the land of West Bengal to pursue Singapore model V2 at my birthland.
Laura A Knight, BS
Research Technologist

We are going through a revolutionary period in Biological Sciences. I am intrigued by the endless opportunity for learning.

  • I love to read about ongoing innovations and advancements in medicine and science. Of all my reads, I will particularly recommend the book “The Secret Language of Doctors” by Dr. Brian Goldman. It is a great read to learn about a doctor’s holistic perspectives on the field.Through research, I aim to achieve better knowledge and understanding of cancer. I want to prepare myself for bigger future challenges. I dream of being an innovator who will find a cure for cancer.
  • If I had unlimited money and resources I would build a foundation and donate to cardiovascular and cancer research.
  • I would invite Elon Musk to my tea party. I am moved by Tesla’s innovation and progress, especially since 2018, and am fascinated by SpaceX and neural link projects. I would enjoy learning about and discussing his passion, drive, and motivation that have helped make him what he is today.

"In the world of bioinformatics, every sequence tells a story, and it's our job to decode the narrative hidden within the genes". ---Divin A Wilson

I am a Bioinformatician, and I believe that the enormous databases of genetic data just waiting to be analyzed hold the answers to life's big issues rather than those found in manuals.

  • Besides science Technology and Gadgets is my biggest hobby: Keeping up with the latest advancements in technology or exploring new gadgets keeps me fascinated.
  • Beyond bioinformatics I see myself as a Software Developer/Engineer. My life goal is to create software solutions, applications, or platforms that address specific needs in fields like web development, mobile app development, or software engineer

“we are the they - the human being.”
In an age where machine learning and artificial intelligence are becoming more advanced by the minute, it is becoming more important to appreciate the core values of a human. We, the humans, successfully decoded several riddles of genetics, figured out ways to reach the moon, and successfully returned laser-guided signals from deep space. Now, we are making machines that outperform humans in implementing many complex tasks. Would it ultimately replace all humans? I strongly believe the answer would be no.

We, the humans, would prevail even in the AI era.

-I’m a high school student interested in learning about science, research, human body and mind. I am deeply motivated to pursue a career focusing on learning more about various diseases and health conditions and finding cures.
Storytelling is my hobby writing, drawing, painting, animations, music, video games, or any combination of the above crafts.
One should learn about various cultures with an open mind. My experience says storytelling archetypes may be different worldwide, yet at the core, the statement remains the same. After all, we are all human.

Fun facts about you?

I learned much about dog training when we adopted our rescue dog. I realizedthat many of the adopted concepts in the training module were also applicable to me, which spurred my later interest in psychology and neurology.
